Shelley’s Heart

Shelley’s Heart empowers you to read minds, time travel and raise the dead! A new interactive play staged at the the historic Shelley Theatre to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the publication of Frankenstein.

The evening will take you on a theatrical journey to St. Peter’s churchyard in Bournemouth where Mary Shelley is buried, bringing back Lord Byron, John Keats and Mary herself as modern hipsters. You will also conjure the ghost of Percy Shelley who is desperate to locate his missing heart.

Penned by 5-time Emmy nominee Bradford G, Shelley’s Heart combines live performances, video, animation and an audience response system that allow you to vote on how the play progresses. You even decide which character will finally confront Mary’s most fearsome creation, the monster!

In association with the Shelley Frankenstein Festival. Includes a post show Q&A with the creative team.
