The Grande Parade
Date: Saturday 19th November
Time: 3 pm – 4:30 pm
The Grande Parade is a moving spectacle of gothic costume, music, dance and performance that celebrates the legacy of Mary Shelley and her popular novel ‘Frankenstein’. The parade will travel down Christchurch Road from Pokesdown Station to Boscombe Precinct. The public are invited to spectate along the footpaths of Christchurch Road.
If you would like to take part in The Grande Parade as a monster, mad scientist or member of The Shelley Family we are accepting applications from the public until Midday on 12th November. Free costume workshops available to official participants.
Starts at The Bell Public House, Pokesdown (meet point) and ends at Boscombe Precinct (outside The Sovereign Shopping Centre)
Cost – Free to attend and enter.
How to book
Parade Participants must sign up in advance as an official participant. Volunteer forms available here.
Access to the venue
This in an outdoor event taking in public places and spaces. There is ample pay and display public parking at both ends of the parade route.
